Classlink

If you are having trouble logging in to ClassLink try the following:

  1. Try to swipe out of the app completely and reopen ClassLink.

  2. Make sure that your username and password are correct. (If you have lost these, please email me at ajohnson2@lsc.k12.in.us)

 

If you are having trouble with an app within ClassLink try the following:

​

  1. Try swiping out of the app completely and reopen ClassLink.

  2. Make sure that you have opened Office before you try to open an app within ClassLink. (It needs to be running in the background for the apps to work.)

Showbie

1. Click on the Showbie app. It looks like a tray with paper inside.  

2. Tap Johnson 2020 (the name of your class). 

3. You will see an assignments list.  Tap on one of the assignments.

Once you have tapped on an assignment, tap on the Shared Items.  Here you will see a “comment bar” where you or your child can message the teacher with questions or comments.  You can also access the photo of the worksheet that I have uploaded by simply tapping on the picture.   

5. When you have completed the worksheet, click “Done” in the top corner.

6. Once you click “Done”, the document is automatically sent to me for review. 

7. I will check these periodically, but feel free to send me a message saying, “Done.” if you would like quicker feedback.  

8. I may tell you that you have corrections.  You will follow the same procedure to make corrections.   

9. When you tap “Done” again, it will again send it back to me for review. 

Reading Eggs

1. Tap on the blue and white app called ClassLink.

2. Tap on the Reading Eggs badge once ClassLink logs you on.

3. Student should automatically be logged on and should be able to access and finish their lessons.

Troubleshooting:

· Make sure the iPad has access to Wi-Fi; these lessons will not be accessible without internet connection.

· If ClassLink does not log in automatically- you can log your child in using the ClassLink login that was sent home in the E-learning login baggie. (Please email me if you cannot find the login information). (bdixon@lsc.k12.in.us)

· If Reading Eggs does not log in automatically- you can log your child on using the Reading Eggs login that was sent home in the

E learning log in baggie.

· If the screen freezes or the sound is not working, you can double click the home button, swipe out of the app and repeat the process to access the app.

DreamBox

1. Tap on the blue and white app called ClassLink.

2. Tap on the Reading Eggs badge once ClassLink logs you on.

3. If there's a white box that comes up, tap "Open."

3. Dreambox should come up. Students should be able to access and complete their lessons.

· If Dreambox does not log in automatically- you can log your child on using the Dreambox login that was sent home in the

E learning log in baggie.

FlipGrid

1. Tap on the Flipgrid icon. It looks like a white plus sign in the middle of a green circle.

2. Under recents, tap "Dixon's Class." (If for some reason, this does not show up, tap Enter Flip Code, and type dixon1234).

3. Tap on an activity. Read the directions. Tap the Green circle with the plus sign to begin recording.

4. Tap the Video icon at the bottom to begin recording.

5. When you are finished recording, tap the Play button to review your video.

6. When you are satisfied with your recording, tap the Green Arrow. This will post your video to the class.

 

Make sure what you post answers the prompt and is appropriate for school!

XtraMath

1. Tap on the XtraMath icon. It looks like a yellow "x" inside of a gray box.

2. Tap the button in the top right corner that says "Sign in."

3. Depending on your student's iPad, this should either take them to a page with their name within the app or open Safari" with their name.

4. Tap their name to sign in. They will then start their lessons.

5. In order to complete XtraMath, they have to answer the math facts until they get to a page where it says "You are done!"

6. If you'd like confirmation that it's been submitted completely, you may email me at bdixon@lsc.k12.in.us in order to check that it's been completed.

· If XtraMath does not log in automatically- you can log your child on using the XtraMath login that was sent home in the

E learning log in baggie. You will need to enter my email address, your child's first name only, and pin (found in the baggie).

· If the screen freezes or the sound is not working, you can double click the home button, swipe out of the app and repeat the process to access the app.

If the screen does not load in the app (stays white or continues to freeze in the app, you can go to Safari              and type in xtramath.org to complete the lessons. You will need to use the login from the baggies to log in this way.
